Bhorsa Karmasathi (Yuva Shakti Bharosa) West Bengal 2026: ₹3,000 Monthly Allowance, Eligibility and How to Apply

SGSG·Oct 29, 2026·6 min read

Lakhs of young people in West Bengal are searching for the ₹3,000 a month allowance for unemployed youth. You may have heard it called Yuva Shakti Bharosa Card, Jubo Shakti, Bhorsha Karmasuchi or Bhorsa Karmasathi. This guide explains what is confirmed, what is still unclear, who may qualify, and how to get your documents ready before applications open. Last reviewed: 29 October 2026.

Be careful of fake websites. At the time of writing, the application process for this scheme has not been confirmed by the state government, yet many sites claim to offer "registration". Never pay anyone, and never share your Aadhaar, bank details or OTP on an unofficial site. Apply only through the official West Bengal government process once it is announced.

What is this scheme?

The monthly allowance for unemployed youth was a major promise made by the BJP before the 2026 West Bengal election, under the name Yuva Shakti Bharosa Card. After the party formed the government, the state's first full budget, presented on 22 June 2026, included a ₹3,000 monthly aid for eligible unemployed youth. A business news report names it the Bhorsa Karmasathi Scheme.

It follows the earlier Banglar Yuva Sathi scheme, which paid ₹1,500 a month to registered unemployed youth.

The names, explained

Name you may seeWhat it refers to
Yuva Shakti Bharosa Card / Yuva Shakti Yojana / Jubo ShaktiThe name used in the election promise and by many websites
Bhorsa Karmasathi / Bhorsha KarmasuchiThe name reported for the scheme in the state budget
Banglar Yuva SathiThe earlier ₹1,500 scheme

All of these point to the same idea: a monthly allowance for unemployed young people. Spellings vary between sources, so do not be confused if you see several names.

How to apply: what to expect

The application is expected to be mostly online, with help at block or district offices. Reports describe these likely steps once it opens:

  1. Watch for the official announcement of the portal and dates, through the West Bengal government website and trusted news.
  2. Register with your mobile number and Aadhaar OTP.
  3. Fill in your details exactly as on your documents: name, date of birth, address, education and bank account.
  4. Upload clear documents within the file size limit.
  5. Save your acknowledgement or reference number to track your application.
  6. Wait for verification. Applicants may be re-verified, and earlier Yuva Sathi beneficiaries may need to apply again.

Official sources to follow

Check these for the latest official notice. If a website asks you to pay for registration, treat it as a warning sign.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Name or date of birth mismatch between Aadhaar, school certificates and bank records. See why government applications get rejected.
  • Bank account not linked to Aadhaar, so the money cannot be sent.
  • Mobile number not linked to Aadhaar, so the OTP never arrives.
  • Blurry or oversized scans.
  • Trusting agents or fake portals that promise quick approval for money.
